Anasazi - Nasty Witch Rock

"Finally, after years of tremendous promise based on their live show, Anasazi have dropped their monolithic LP. The band's first two 7"s were solid and established them as one of the preeminent contemporary goth punk bands. Of course, that's not saying much considering the company, but those who saw them live knew they were something special. Finally, they've captured the magick perfectly on record with the help of Ben Greenberg and have now emerged as the best band of this style in the world. Aesthetic and sound only go so far, but Anasazi break from the pack with an unrivaled intensity and, most importantly, thoroughly-impressive songwriting. There's not much more to say about this band other than that this LP is completely essential, so don't sleep on this one."

BARCELONA - Extremo Nihilismo En Barcelona MLP

"Extremo Nihilismo en Barcelona is the sound of a slow cooking bomb. The 8 tracks of anxious hardcore contained within this 45 RPM 12" are pretty much what it says on the tin. Extreme, Nihilist and utterly Barcelonian. The sound of the eternal frustration with your surroundings. The soundtrack of falling out with everyone around you. Musically filled with a solid yet counter intuitive rhythm section, insanely violent riffs and the angriest and more credible female since FIRMEZA 10 stopped playing. The barely 11 minutes of music contained on this 12" rate amongst the most claustrophobic hardcore sound I've ever heard."

Mercy Killings - Snuffed Out EP

"A year after recording what would be the self titled EP, the lads of MERCY KILLINGS returned to the great state of North Carolina to lay down yet another sonic assault of hardcore punk. The resulting material proved to be even more vicious than the band's initial effort, yielding five songs of the savage USHC that certain members have been known for producing for over a decade now with select nods here and there to other spots on the globe that have been known to influence good punk as opposed to shit punk. These guys are, thankfully, too purist and/or out of touch to even consider flirting with any of the cringe inducing trends and fashions that have plagued the genre as a whole in recent memory. Therefore, fans of well executed hardcore punk can rest assured that they will receive just that upon obtaining this slab."

The Coneheads - L.P.1. aka "14 Year Old High School PC-Fascist Hype Lords Rip Off Devo for the Sake of Extorting $$$ from Helpless Impressionable Midwestern Internet Peoplepunks L.P.

"The NWI scene is on another level to the rest of humanity. Oh yes, it's going to get weird once you put this shit on. Coneheads are a basement punk band who have decided to douse themselves in creepy circus riffs, robot meets alien vocals with science-fiction wackyness. Keep in mind, it's still punk and damn catchy! Who said weird can't be catchy?

They sound like DOW JONES AND THE INDUSTRIALS on speed or a more manic DEVO. This would perfectly fit in 1982 but I doubt they were born before 92. Major points for historical awareness! The rhythm barrels along while solos are interspersed at six second intervals, desperately played like a blur between a Jerry Lee Richard piano solo and a fevered banjo picker who lives in an Appalachian cave.

It's hard to find the line between cheap gimmick and true weirdness sometimes, but this one shows that line with every spin. This band is highly addictive and leaves you stunned!"

Cadenaxo - Demo 2014

Mommy - Demo 2015

"New NYC punk band featuring members of bands we all knew and loved." Also, fronted by Mike Caiazzo, everyone's favorite NYC lunatic. For real, though, this is the best NYC punk demo I've heard in a long time. Insane and noisy, but not noisecore. Vocal patterns resemble old anarcho punk, but it's not that either. I would say the most unique new band here, as well as the best. Look for a 7" on Toxic State later this year. Essential."

Detergents - No Salvation EP

“Strongly influenced by Crisis and The Partisans, this trio from Sheffield create memorable punk hooks with immediately relatable lyrics. Following on from the demo released earlier in the year, Detergents are back with a new 7″ single. 3 new songs. Same rules apply, UK82 inspired punk. This new release showcases their primitive punk spirit but with well crafted songmanship.”
Members from Dry Heaves, Skiplickers, and Obstruct.

Bad Noids - Ebola Now For the Future/Rats Live on No Evil Star EP

"Latest material from Cleveland degenerators BAD NOIDS, skummy punk extraordinaires. Seven new tracks on this EP - by far the best material to come from the 'Noids yet. Plodding midpaced punk that isn't reinventing the wheel, probably just slowing the wheel down. A raw, raucous riot on 45 rpm!"
